"Entomophobia (also known as insectophobia) is a common fear of or aversion to insects and similar arthropods, and even other "bugs", such as worms. Commonly, this condition might be referred to as the "fear of insects or bugs". This condition causes a slight to severe emotional reaction, a form of anxiety or a panic attack. It is a particular case of specific phobias, all of which have basically the same causes (differing mostly in the source of phobia) and similar choices of treatments.
Among notable cases are apiphobia (fear of bees) and arachnophobia (fear of spiders and scorpions). "
May Peace Be Upon You,
Well, ?
Sounds lame, doesn't it? But Yet, I have it. Truthfully and honestly, I'm afraid of insects. Any size: Big, Medium and Small. Almost all of it. Butterflies, Dragonflies, Fireflies, Moths, Bugs, Beetles, Tiger Beetles, Spiders, Flying Insects, Crawling Insects, With Wings, Without Wings, Broken Wings, White Insects, Black Insects, Red Insects, Blue Insects, Green Insects, Caterpillars or Worms. Well, you get my idea.
Yes, I know its lame to be afraid of them, but this isn't funny cause I am afraid ever since I was young.
But of cause, I'm not afraid of cockcroaches, since I'd whack the ooze out of them whenever I see one. That, I'm very thankful to my brother who taught me how to fight against my fear of them. So whenever, either of my sisters calls for help. I'd just enter their room with a roll of rolled newspaper and starts "whack-the-cockcroaches".
Despite all that I do dare myself to be brave and sometimes, I succeeded in overcoming this particular fear of mine. Well, temporarily that is. The next time I see an insect (other than cockcroaches, cause seriously, I'd feel the adrenaline rush to whack them when I see them), I will be scared and will moved away from them. But, I'll brave myself again and succeed again and its like a cycle. My greatest insect fear so far, would be Mosquitos. Yeah, I don't like them. Their like my greatest enemy. They gave me fear, anger whenever I see them.
These mosquitos are the reason why I ended up in the hospital when I was just primary 4. Although, I must thank them for letting me enjoy playing my toys all the time in the ward and not care about a single thing. But still, getting their germs is not cool. Dengue Mosquito isn't cool. They are probably the reason why I have this kind of fear. The only time I love insects are when they are on TV on educational programmes that teaches us the amazing things about them. They are fascinating to me in TV, not in real life though cause I'll be afraid.
Strangely, I can see them even when I don't wear specs. Haha, sharp right my eyes?
But, all of that isn't the message I want to convey. The message that I want to convey is that Everything is possible when we believe. And I will work with that kind of mindset and bring it to my lifestyle. (:
Hmm, some people are abit sensitive about their age, when I called them "Abang" or "Kakak" (Elder Brother or Elder Sister). They'll tell me not to call them that since it makes them sound old. Well, to make things fair, I'd say most of the people around me are young. That includes my friends and coursemates, but its just that I'm just younger then them who are young, sometimes. (:
Our parents do love us alot. If you are not convince, try babysitting a baby. Once you started liking and caring about him, you will feel attach to him. I dreamt about my lil' cousin, Asher Aaron today. I missed that kid, I babysit him for a month and until now, I feel attached to him. He's going two years old this year. He lived overseas so I don't see him often. The time we spend together - playing with him, really makes me cry when I think about him. And I just babysitted him. I can't imagine how badly our parents missed us if we were to go overseas. Hmmm well, of cause I do disturb him sometimes. Hehe, there was once I tried feeding him a slice of onion. He eats anything you feed him with. Well, that's what my aunt says. But I prove her wrong, he doesn't. Haha, well yeah I was being a meanie, when I did that. He frowned his eye brows when I did that. Haha, Asher Saranghae (: .
Well, I just reached home. So I'll summarised what happen today. I took some pictures, but too lazy to post, can?
I don't go out often so I don't know a lot of places. So if I get very excited of something, don't blame me cause I don't get to see it often. When I do go out with friends, especially if we are going to town - I would have to follow them whereever they go cause I don't know the way. I'd get lost if they leave me there by myself. My dad is a little strict about going out but he is still understanding and can be lenient at times. He set a 7pm curfew for us to follow. Usually, I'm back before that. If I'm not, he'd start calling so I rather be home before that.
That's what teenagers nowadays don't understand. If you are given freedom. Don't abuse it. I'm very thankful that my dad can be lenient at times cause I know he don't really like his childrens to go out too often.
Well, today I went to Mustafa Centre, City Square and Joo Chiat with classmates, Shou Xian and Salina to search for a present for Mother's day. Hmm, I like the purple line train better than the red and green ones. They are cooler, more colours and better design and patterns.
Lol, I don't know there was a such a place called, Kampong Java Park. ~Java~. (:
Well, I was at Farrer Park MRT Station waiting for them to pick me up. Honestly, the place is too big and I don't know where to go. Today, I learned where City Square Shopping Mall is. Nice!, I've heard of it but never been there, so it was my first time seeing it. And it was also the first time I go Mustafa Centre by train and with friends. Well, I found what I wanted to buy for my mum. And that was, her favourite hindustan actor's (Sharukh Khan) movie. "My Name Is Khan". I know she really wanted to watch this movie. So I wanted to buy it for her, but sadly, it does not have a subtitles. I called my mum to ask but she told me if no subtitles, then she didn't want it since she won't really understand. Hmmm.
Well, It was raining and I wore cap so I wasn't affected by the rain unlike Shou Xian and Salina. ~huhu~ (: . Well, after Mustafa Centre. We went to City Square. I remind myself not to touch too much items. From what I've learn past few weeks ago - so yeah. And since I was wet and my palms were sweaty at that time. Me and Shou Xian waited at Mac while Salina went somewhere. I bought for myself a Chocolate Milkshake at Mac since I've never tasted one. Hmmm, mcm memuakkan gitu bila dah habis telan. Haha, cerewet eh, tsk3 (: . Shou Xian kept running away from my hp's camera, haha. Anyways, after that we dropped at Dhoby Ghaut. It was my first time taking the Circle Line. And it is way even more cooler than the purple line.
I can't believe there's a station called, "Stadium". =.=
We then dropped at Paya Lebar, it looks better than any other station that I've seen before. Well, never been there before mah. So yeah. Salina went to get scarfs for her mom . Hmm, well I don't see why she had to pick. All scarf looks the same to me. Haha :D Well, maybe thats because I'm a guy.
Hmm, seriously tired of walking just now. I'm just not used to walking this much. I have to remind myself not to get a girlfriend that likes to walk too often or I'm dead. So after all that, I didn't get a present for mum. ): .. Shou Xian and me dropped at AMK on the way home and visited Jansen. He was working at AMK Hub. After that, I went to the mosque around 6:48pm and head for home at 7:33pm.
Hmmm. My mom fell from a bike today on the way back home. ):
She is okay though. (:
Oh Hor! Someone actually said "Anyhoo" in the person's blog. You know who you are. Anyhoo - A corrupt of, or variation in, the pronunciation of anyhow, thus having nearly the same meaning as anyway. Used to return to the main point in conversation, or to move the thread on form a previous topic.
Its not a good word, so don't use it. Bad english yo. ^^ (:
Uztazah Fatimah gave us a surprised test last sunday. I hope she won't this week. I have check with Liyana about it and she said there is no test. Well, I had to check cause if I don't email my class - like last week, they will blame me and bully me for not sending them an email about it. Meanie!
